Valve Vault Modifications, Surveying and Civil Engineering Design
The valve vault modification were done to three critical vaults associated to two different pressure zones in the JVWCD system. Two of the vaults were flow control and isolation for an adjacent ground 2-million gallon tank. Services included performing a field survey and measure and take an accurate inventory of existing fittings. The vaults were modified and proposed changes were designed to have smooth construction although all of the vaults were confined space. Passive ventilation was also added into the vaults to minimize maintenance and decrease risk to operators.
